Culture of Peace
The UNESCO Club Berlin has developed a comprehensive documentation on a "Culture of Peace".
The 120 page document contains the following sections in particular:
- An introduction to culture of peace and education for peace;
- United Nations and UNESCO documents on peace and human rights;
- The role of civil society, in particular UNESCO Associated Schools, in the context of UNESCO's mandate;
- Implementation in Germany of educational goals for a culture of peace;
- Recommendations and action plans of the German federal government and of the federal states of Germany;
- Culture of peace in the classroom;
- Examples from the practice of schools and other institutions.
